Huitzil
Huitzil, in the Nahuatl language, means hummingbird.
Nahuatl is the language of the Nahua peoples of Mexico and was the language of the Aztec civilization.
Our family is of Nahua ancestry so our name is a meaningful connection to our roots and culture.
We named our project after the hummingbird because of the tiny bird’s strength, energy, will, heart, beauty, joy and freedom.
The hummingbird’s many positive attributes will make good standards for us to reach.
